Glenda Carol Brown was born September 20, 1953 in Richmond, Indiana to Bennie and Maryetta Givens Brown. Glenda departed this life on December 1, 2012 at home after a long illness. Glenda was the twelfth oldest of fifteen children. She was preceeded in death by her father Bennie Brown Sr., her mother Maryetta, brother's Bennie Jr., John Brown and sister's Ruby Smith and Janie Gray. She joined Mt. Moriah Baptist church under the Pastorate of Reverend R.E. Girten and reinstated her membership under Pastor Ocie Poole. Glenda worked with the Richmond Community School System as a teacher's aide. She enjoyed spending time with her famiy, doing crafts, reading, crossword puzzles and playing bingo. Glenda leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Stephanie Brown-Baker, her grandchildren; Aaliyah, Taij, Tevin, and Tyishia all of Richmond, Indiana. She also leaves her sister's; Anna Davis, Cattie Brown, Hattie Bly (Roger), Clydie Austin (Charlie Sr.), Areatha Sanders, Charles Brown (Kay), Suzanne Brown, Bonnie McCoy, Denise Corbitt, Donna Brown all of Richmond, Indiana and Bertha Hanna of Houston, Texas. Visitation will be held December 7, 2012 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church 1431 South 14th Street Richmond, Indiana with services immediately following.
